Zion and Jerusalem,
January 23, 2014
Nevertheless, let the bishop go unto the city of
New York, also to the city of Albany, and also to the city of Boston, and warn
the people of those cities with the sound of the gospel, with a loud voice, of
the desolation and utter abolishment which await them if they do reject these
things.
(Doctrine
and Covenants | Section 84:114)
Hearken
and lo, this is the voice as of one who is mighty and strong whose voice is
unto all men and whose goings are to the ends of the earth. Behold, this is the voice as of one crying repentance
in the wilderness saying unto all that may hear from these great Cainan cities
in the land of Zion and also abroad. Repent ye repent ye and prepare the way of the
LORD. Repent ye repent ye and make the path of the LORD straight by bringing
fruit meet for repentance. For it is written already that the ax is already laid
at the base of every tree and every tree that does not produce good fruit will
be hewn down and cast into the fire from where no traveler returns. Therefore o
ye people of the land, Repent ye repent ye for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
for this is the commandment of him who sent me whose latchet of his sandal I am
not worthy to untie. For then as now he
has commanded to repent and come unto him and be baptized in his name unto all
those who are responsible before him and only the children are justified.
Now this is the commandment:
Repent, all ye ends of the earth, and come unto me
and be baptized in my name, that ye may be sanctified by the reception of the
Holy Ghost, that ye may stand spotless before me at the last day.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, this is my gospel;
and ye know the things that ye must do in my church; for the works which ye
have seen me do that shall ye also do; for that which ye have seen me do even
that shall ye do. Therefore, if ye do these things blessed are ye, for ye shall
be lifted up at the last day.
(Book of
Mormon | 3 Nephi 27:20 - 22)
For
behold for your wickedness which has already reached the ears of heaven, a
great abolishment and desolation awaits you all and unless you repent in dust
and ashes your great and notable cities will be left desolate and even without
inhabitants. For this is a decree from heaven upon these lands when your
abominations overflow. For behold, the God of these lands is Jesus Christ and he
has sworn that all nations that shall possess it shall serve him or they will
be destroyed and wiped off when the fullness of his wrath should fall upon you.
And he
had sworn in his wrath unto the brother of Jared, that whoso should possess
this land of promise, from that time henceforth and forever, should serve him,
the true and only God, or they should be swept off when the fulness of his
wrath should come upon them.
(Book of Mormon | Ether 2:8)
This
is not the first, or the second, or even the third time that a civilized nation
great or small has been destroyed upon these lands. And the scriptures in the
Bible and in the book of Mormon make it manifest, but you because of your hardness
of heart and your stiff neck would not profit from them. And since you are
inclined to reject these things, the LORD has promised that if you do not
repent and reject these sayings that your house is going to be left desolate. And
when the sprit of GOD ceased to strive with man, what happens thereafter is not
good. For thus has the LORD said that with us or thru our preaching you are to
be reproved for your ungodly deeds and the time will soon come and it
approaches speedily that if you reject these words that the LORD our GOD will
not only rend your kingdoms but that the earth and the heavens will shake. I myself have seen the scripture which was pointed
to me directly by the angels of heave that say that if they escaped not who
refused him that speaks, the earth shook. And if we turn away from him that
speak from heaven, that not only the earth but he has promised that He will
shake but the starry heavens also. And
his words yet once more signify the removal of those things that are weak, as
of things that are man made, that those things which that cannot be shaken may
remain. And us therefore receiving a kingdom that cannot be moved or given to
another people, that whereby grace we may serve GOD in reverence and
acceptably, and also to work our own salvation with fear and trembling, for it
has been shown to us that the wrath of GOD is a consuming fire.
See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that
spake on earth, much more shall not
we escape, if we turn away from him
that speaketh from heaven: Whose
voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I
shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that
are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be
shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let
us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly
fear: For our God is a consuming
fire.
(New
Testament | Hebrews 12:25 - 29)
My
spinach is to do the will of him that sent me, for I truly try to live by every
word that comes out of the mouth of GOD. And it is for this reason that I contend,
morning by morning, and day after day with my voice of warning blog. And when
the night comes, I am instructed not to let the inhabitants of the whole earth
slumber, because of my speech even if I were like unto a repeater or a
transistors radio anchor man. And all my words, weak or strong, perfect or
imperfect are justified by my GOD for like my father of old, I walk with GOD he
hath also said unto me:
Contend thou, therefore, morning by morning; and
day after day let thy warning voice go forth; and when the night cometh let not
the inhabitants of the earth slumber, because of thy speech.
(Doctrine
and Covenants | Section 112:5)
Behold my
Spirit is upon you, wherefore all thy words will I justify; and the mountains
shall flee before you, and the rivers shall turn from their course; and thou
shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore walk with me.
(Pearl of Great Price | Moses 6:34)
The
LORD has seen your abominations and I myself have also seen them. And this is
the rebuke of the LORD unto all of you this day which I preach with a borrowed
mouth for so the spirit of GOD constrains me to do as in the days of the
ancient kings. And what the LORD says unto one nation he says unto all both
with verb and graphically.
Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these
words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye
the words of this covenant, and do them. For I earnestly protested unto your
fathers in the day that I brought
them up out of the land of Egypt, even
unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
(Old
Testament | Jeremiah 11:6 - 7)
Stand in the gate of the LORD's house, and proclaim
there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend
your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.
Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of
the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these. For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if
ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If ye oppress not the stranger, the
fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither
walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this
place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.
Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot
profit.
Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and
swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye
know not; And come and stand before me
in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all
these abominations? Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of
robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have
seen it, saith the LORD.
But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at
the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.
And now, because ye have done all these works,
saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye
heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name,
wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers,
as I have done to Shiloh. And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast
out all your brethren, even the whole
seed of Ephraim.
(Old
Testament | Jeremiah 7:2 - 15)
For
this cause the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to save the repentant
from the desolations that will surely come. For these things the LORD has
spoken in the preface of the book of commandments saying from the rivers to the
ends of the earth but you would not hear:
HEARKEN, O ye people of my church, saith the voice
of him who dwells on high, and whose eyes are upon all men; yea, verily I say:
Hearken ye people from afar; and ye that are upon the islands of the sea,
listen together.
For verily the voice of the Lord is unto all men,
and there is none to escape; and there is no eye that shall not see, neither
ear that shall not hear, neither heart that shall not be penetrated. And the
rebellious shall be pierced with much sorrow; for their iniquities shall be
spoken upon the housetops, and their secret acts shall be revealed.
And the voice of warning shall be unto
all people, by the mouths of my disciples, whom I have chosen in these last
days. And they shall go forth and none shall stay them, for I the Lord have
commanded them.
Behold, this is mine authority, and the authority
of my servants, and my preface unto the book of my commandments, which I have
given them to publish unto you, O inhabitants of the earth.
Wherefore, fear and tremble, O ye people,
for what I the Lord have decreed in them shall be fulfilled.
And verily I say unto you, that they who go forth,
bearing these tidings unto the inhabitants of the earth, to them is power given
to seal both on earth and in heaven, the unbelieving and rebellious; Yea,
verily, to seal them up unto the day when the wrath of God shall be poured out
upon the wicked without measure— Unto the day when the Lord shall come to
recompense unto every man according to his work, and measure to every man
according to the measure which he has measured to his fellow man.
Wherefore the voice of the Lord is unto
the ends of the earth, that all that will hear may hear: Prepare ye, prepare ye
for that which is to come, for the Lord is nigh;
And the anger of the Lord is kindled, and his sword
is bathed in heaven, and it shall fall upon the inhabitants of the earth. And
the arm of the Lord shall be revealed; and the day cometh that they who will
not hear the voice of the Lord, neither the voice of his servants, neither give
heed to the words of the prophets and apostles, shall be cut off from among the
people; For they have strayed from mine ordinances, and have broken mine
everlasting covenant; They seek not the Lord to establish his righteousness,
but every man walketh in his own way, and after the image of his own god, whose
image is in the likeness of the world, and whose substance is that of an idol,
which waxeth old and shall perish in Babylon, even Babylon the great, which
shall fall.
Wherefore, I the Lord, knowing the
calamity which should come upon the inhabitants of the earth, called upon my
servant Joseph Smith, Jun., and spake unto him from heaven, and gave him
commandments; And also gave commandments to others, that they should proclaim
these things unto the world; and all this that it might be fulfilled, which was
written by the prophets—
The weak things of the world shall come
forth and break down the mighty and strong ones, that man should not counsel
his fellow man, neither trust in the arm of flesh—
But that every man might speak in the name of God
the Lord, even the Savior of the world;
That faith also might increase in the earth;
That mine everlasting covenant might be
established;
That the fulness of my gospel might be
proclaimed by the weak and the simple unto the ends of the world, and before
kings and rulers.
Behold, I am God and have spoken it; these
commandments are of me, and were given unto my servants in their weakness,
after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding.
And inasmuch as they erred it might be made known;
And inasmuch as they sought wisdom they might be
instructed;
And inasmuch as they sinned they might be
chastened, that they might repent;
And inasmuch as they were humble they might be made
strong, and blessed from on high, and receive knowledge from time to time.
And after having received the record of the
Nephites, yea, even my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., might have power to
translate through the mercy of God, by the power of God, the Book of Mormon.
And also those to whom these commandments
were given, might have power to lay the foundation of this church, and to bring
it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church
upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased,
speaking unto the church collectively and not individually— For I the Lord
cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance;
Nevertheless, he that repents and does the
commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven; And he that repents not, from him
shall be taken even the light which he has received; for my Spirit shall not
always strive with man, saith the Lord of Hosts. And again, verily I say unto
you, O inhabitants of the earth: I the Lord am willing to make these things
known unto all flesh; For I am no respecter of persons, and will that all men
shall know that the day speedily cometh; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at
hand, when peace shall be taken from the earth, and the devil shall have power
over his own dominion.
And also the Lord shall have power over his saints,
and shall reign in their midst, and shall come down in judgment upon Idumea, or
the world.
Search these commandments, for they are true and
faithful, and the prophecies and promises which are in them shall all be
fulfilled. What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself;
and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away,
but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my
servants, it is the same. For behold, and lo, the Lord is God, and the Spirit
beareth record, and the record is true, and the truth abideth forever and
ever. Amen.
(Doctrine
and Covenants | Section 1:1 - 39)
The
LORD has spoken and he has the last word, I, of myself, have nothing else to
say, but whatever I have said, I have said solemnly, humbly and meekly, with a
single eye for the honor and glory of GOD and for your profit. I do it as one having authority, to bind in
heaven what I have sealed on earth. And I do it by virtue of the holy
priesthood which I bear in accordance to my duty and I trespass not the law and
the prophets, and I do it in the sacred name of the son of GOD, even the LORD
Jesus Christ, amen.

And moreover, I say unto you, that the time shall come when the knowledge of a Savior shall spread throughout every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.
ReplyDeleteAnd behold, when that time cometh, none shall be found blameless before God, except it be little children, only through repentance and faith on the name of the Lord God Omnipotent.
And even at this time, when thou shalt have taught thy people the things which the Lord thy God hath commanded thee, even then are they found no more blameless in the sight of God, only according to the words which I have spoken unto thee.
And now I have spoken the words which the Lord God hath commanded me. And thus saith the Lord: They shall stand as a bright testimony against this people, at the judgment day; whereof they shall be judged, every man according to his works, whether they be good, or whether they be evil. And if they be evil they are consigned to an awful view of their own guilt and abominations, which doth cause them to shrink from the presence of the Lord into a state of misery and endless torment, from whence they can no more return; therefore they have drunk damnation to their own souls.
Therefore, they have drunk out of the cup of the wrath of God, which justice could no more deny unto them than it could deny that Adam should fall because of his partaking of the forbidden fruit; therefore, mercy could have claim on them no more forever. And their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone, whose flames are unquenchable, and whose smoke ascendeth up forever and ever. Thus hath the Lord commanded me. Amen.
