Contend thou, therefore, morning by morning; and day after day let thy warning voice go forth; and when the night cometh let not the inhabitants of the earth slumber, because of thy speech.

Contend thou, therefore, morning by morning; and day after day let thy warning voice go forth; and when the night cometh let not the inhabitants of the earth slumber, because of thy speech.

“We can make peace and work to extend to others the understanding, fairness, and forgiveness we so desperately desire for ourselves.”― Dieter F. Uchtdorf

When we take a moment to remember how often the Lord has forgiven us our sins, it becomes hard for us to justify holding grudges and judging others. We all make mistakes, so be patient with yourself and with those around you.

I do not know in which fantasy world does President Utchdorf and some of you live? He needs to land or face being vomited or spud out of the LORD’s mouth. This is not the church of uncertainty or LA ODDYSEY. We need to be zealous for the LORD’s name and cause and not lukewarm as I see many here.  I speak both by the authority of our Father in Heaven and also by experience. He should know better what happens when the salt of the earth loses its flavor.

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  And a man's foes shall be they of his own household".

(New Testament | Matthew 10:34 - 36)

I have no anger or resentment against no one, but it is hard to be at peace with others or the world, especially some of our lukewarm leaders and brethren, when they are constantly trying kill you, to take away your peace and destroy your faith.  I would have posted this message privately to him, but he closed my private messages privileges. I do not know about him but I do receive constant rejection and death threats for truth’s sake. Here is the most recent example.

Mormons Against Women Praying in General Conference

Mormons Against Women Praying in General Conference had already threatened me and said to me again today:

“Wait, you're still alive? I figured God would have sent His servant to execute you by now. I guess the world will have to wait a little longer. Oh well.”

Miguel Angel Tinoco continued saying:

As you see brethren, All is NOT well in Zion, these are times of little peace.  I do not know how some of you can sleep at night seeing that many of our brethren are being snared taken away.  It makes me feel like Oriah before King David or like Moroni when he wrote and rebuked the chief governor of the land in his time when the people forsook to send reinforcements during a time of war.

Joseph Smith and Lorenzo Snow said that during those days before the prophet was murdered, a spirit of speculation and of apostasy had infected the nation and also every high and low quorum of the church. I cannot find the quote of Lorenzo snow but he said that even the president of the quorum of the twelve said that we should not fear the resentment or persecution of some of the sectarian enemies of the church at that time, that it was mere ignorance or something of no greater consequence, that they were good people or children of God as we all are.  And yet it culminated in the desecration and burning of the temple, the death of the prophet and the Patriarch Hyrum, and the expulsion of the saints from their homes among other terrible grievances.

“Some may have cried peace, but the Saints and the world will have little peace from henceforth.” JS

But that is not all brehteren, that same spirit of softness and slackness caused the great deluge to come upon the world and also the destruction of all great empires of this world in every age. I’d rather listen to the following counsel of the living prophet.

“Must we learn such costly lessons over and over again? Times change, but truth persists. When we fail to profit from the experiences of the past, we are doomed to repeat them with all their heartache, suffering, and anguish.  Haven’t we the wisdom to obey Him who knows the beginning from the end—our Lord, who designed the plan of salvation—rather than that serpent, who despised its beauty?”

The WORLD NEED PIONEERS TODAY

These pioneers remembered the words of the Lord: “My people must be tried in all things, that they may be prepared to receive the glory that I have for them, even the glory of Zion.”2

The passage of time dims our memories and diminishes our appreciation for those who walked the path of pain, leaving behind a tear-marked trail of nameless graves. But what of today’s challenges? Are there no rocky roads to travel, no rugged mountains to climb, no chasms to cross, no trails to blaze, no rivers to ford? Or is there a very present need for that pioneer spirit to guide us away from the dangers that threaten to engulf us and to lead us to a Zion of safety?

In the decades since the end of World War II, standards of morality have lowered again and again. Crime spirals upward; decency careens downward. Many are on a giant roller coaster of disaster, seeking the thrills of the moment while sacrificing the joys of eternity. Thus we forfeit peace.

We forget how the Greeks and Romans prevailed magnificently in a barbaric world and how that triumph ended—how a slackness and softness finally overcame them to their ruin. In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security and a comfortable life; and they lost all—comfort and security and freedom.

Do not yield to Satan’s enticements; rather, stand firm for truth. The unsatisfied yearnings of the soul will not be met by a never-ending quest for joy amidst the thrills of sensation and vice. Vice never leads to virtue. Hate never promotes love. Cowardice never gives courage. Doubt never inspires faith.

Some find it difficult to withstand the mocking and unsavory remarks of foolish ones who ridicule chastity, honesty, and obedience to God’s commands. But the world has ever belittled adherence to principle. When Noah was instructed to build an ark, the foolish populace looked at the cloudless sky and then scoffed and jeered—until the rain came.

Must we learn such costly lessons over and over again? Times change, but truth persists. When we fail to profit from the experiences of the past, we are doomed to repeat them with all their heartache, suffering, and anguish. Haven’t we the wisdom to obey Him who knows the beginning from the end—our Lord, who designed the plan of salvation—rather than that serpent, who despised its beauty?”

“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?  it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”

(New Testament | Matthew 5:13)

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

(New Testament | Revelation 3:14 - 22)

In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

 Miguel Angel Tinoco Rodriguez
