Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Zion and Jerusalem, October 14, 2013

Where is the wise?  where is the scribe?  where is the disputer of this world?  hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 1:20)

Salt is good: but if the salt has lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it?  Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

(New Testament | Mark 9:50)

Or, better yet, salt is good, but if salt has lost its flavor is good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot.  Is not that what the LORD Jesus Christ also said?  Pardon the redundancy but verily, verily I say unto you that he certainly said it and you know where it is written also. But what you may not know is that the LORD has commanded me to talk to you by these means. Yea, there are many within the reach of my voice that say that I speak harshly against them, because my words fall like salt upon an open wound.  Some claim within and without the gat of the kingdom of God on earth that I preach harshly and not with any degree of mercy or compassion for the sinners or as if I was the prophet or even God himself.   That might be true but only to those sinners that draw iniquity with cords of vanity and sin as with a rope cart and refuse to detach themselves from them like the men and women lovers of their own self; and the anti Mormon; and those that will not inquired of God and have dissented or departed from him, and the apostates of the church of GOD that breath out wrath against the work of the LORD because these are the ones that lead on the church of the devil. And the LORD said:

Woe unto them that draw iniquity with cords of vanity, and sin as it were with a cart rope that say: Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw nigh and come, that we may know it!

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:  Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!

Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets.  For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly: None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken: Whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent, their horses' hoofs shall be counted like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind: Their roaring shall be like a lion, they shall roar like young lions: yea, they shall roar, and lay hold of the prey, and shall carry it away safe, and none shall deliver it. And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold darkness and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the heavens thereof.

(Old Testament | Isaiah 5:18 - 30)

Contend against no church, save it be the church of the devil.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 18:20)

And I have taken upon me the name of Christ therefore it is no mystery that I speak like him. I give his teachings and words as he would in words and in deeds.   And I administer the gospel or his word as he has spoken, fearing GOD more then men, for he said unto me, lift up your voice and spare not for God is not a respecter of persons. And I cannot serve GOD with fear of offending the devil.

Sanctify yourselves and ye shall be endowed with power, “that ye may give” even as I have spoken.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 43:16)

Lift up your voices and spare not.  Call upon the nations to repent, both old and young, both bond and free, saying: Prepare yourselves for the great day of the Lord;

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 43:20)

Besides, brethren,  friends and foes, when I write, I am barely a weak instrument in the hands of GOD, I may give a thought here and there, but the spirit of GOD is the one that does most of the talking.  And for this many hate or abhor me as they did with the ancients. As for myself, I have no interest in saying or teaching anything that I have learned. But I am so attached to the words and works of GOD the Father and the Son, that I can say that I do nothing, but what I have seen my father do. I am born of Christ and as an extension of him, his works I do in words and in deeds.  And one of my primary missions in life is to defend truth and virtue.

Now, if you were holy, I would speak about holy things, but since you are not, I have to declare to you the consequences of sin with the intent that you repent and come unto Christ and bring forth good fruits meet for repentance. Perhaps you will incline your ear, close your eyes and pray unto the LORD with a broken heart and a contrite spirit so that he would show his works unto you as he has showed unto me.  For it is written:

For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

(New Testament | Mark 9:49)

The LORD has requested of us to be either Hot or Cold before him, because if he tastes that we are lukewarm he is going to vomit us from his mouth. And that is not an easy thing to endure. I myself have experienced the feeling in the spirit.  Therefore, I preach the truth as it is, as it was and as it is to come, with intent to impact today and to harvest tomorrow.  But many take my words as naught or as if my preaching was worthless or of no consequence. But I know that I have been commanded of GOD to do so and that for better or for worst my words are binding upon every soul that reads them or rejects them. For by the things that are written, the world will be judged. And my commission is to expose and expound all scriptures in season and out of season for the very purpose.  Verily, verily I say unto you that while the seed is above ground, it cannot produce any fruit, but once the seed falls upon the ground, the testimony is in full force and in its time it shall produce much fruit.   For it is also written: destroy this temple and in three days I will rise it up.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

(New Testament | John 12:24)

Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

(New Testament | John 2:19)

The purpose of this errand is to show unto the children of GOD and unto the wicked world that the LORD perfects his works in weakness. If he had wanted, he would call many scholars, or many wise and noble, but instead, the LORD has chosen that which is nothing or children of lesser degree to bring down that which is mighty in words and in intellect and to destroy the wisdom of the wise.  For you see your calling brethren, not many wise, not many noble, not many learned are called, according to the flesh,  but that which is hated by the world, the LORD has called, to thrash the nations by the power of his spirit.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 1:26 - 31)

I am a man of low degree or with no scholastic formation or political correctness or political comeliness. In most cases, I just appears and say what the LORD wanst me to say. I just appear and I do what the LORD wants me to do. I just appear and I am what the LORD wants me to be, and wherever he sends me I GO.   I have been diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic and recently compared by my loving brethren like a broken vessel because of my severe depression disorder.  I am astonished that the LORD is kind enough to notice me and make mention of me thru his servants the prophets.  And this gives much reason to the messenger of the devil to buffet me despite my groaning and tearful pleads unto heaven to be healed.   I may not be prominent with men, I have no private editor or a body of public relations to help me correct my errors and omissions; nor funds to publish, plagiarize or spread my own work, but I know that my work is with my God and that he directs it thru his holy spirit. I know it pleases him and that his work in this generation as in those of old is perfected in weakness; therefore, I most gladly glory in my infirmities, in persecutions, in offenses, in necessities, in reproaches and in distresses for Christ sake,  and in other unaccounted predicaments and weaknesses so that the POWER of GOD rests upon me. For when I am weak, I am strong, and the signs of an apostle, have been wrought among you in all longsuffering and in patience, even in signs and in wonders. For so the LORD has spoken it

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

(New Testament | 2 Corinthians 12:9)

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing. Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

(New Testament | 2 Corinthians 12:10 - 12)

I was filled and greatly inspired in the 183 general conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, held barely a little over a week ago.  It is common for some of us with grateful hearts to say that it was one of the greatest and most inspired conferences I ever attended and heard.  And I know make record of it in this my public journal as I spoke. There was not a moment in which I felt bored or disillusioned.  I heard the LORD speak thru his servants the prophets and his apostles and seventies and other praiseworthy servants of the LORD instructed me, warned me, admonished me, exhorted me, preached to me and confirmed my faith and works, plus he gave me oil in abundance to carry and sell to sustain me for the whole season.

But there is no good work wrought upon the children of men without thereafter following a counterfeit or exponentially amount of regretful opposition which is a sure sign and witness to those that have faith that the word that was administered by the servants of GOD was very good.

For as the scriptures clearly say, all truth hurts the wicked soul for it pierces them to the very center and they find it hard.  And it was not long before the word of the living apostles and prophets were verified, for the LORD sad in Malachi that he would be a swift witness against the wicked.

How do the wicked expect the windows of heaven to be open to them if they pay no tithing? How do they expect to be filled and accept the words of the prophets when they close their ears and shut their eyes unto them?  Like the ancient and adulterous sign seekers that wanted for the servants of the LORD to make speed to see that the LORD would do. Indeed as we were counseled we live nowadays, even the last days,  in very perilous times. For I have witnessed that there are some who are irreverent, blasphemers, lover of their own self’s, disobedient to parents, incontinent, haters of truth, high-minded and despisers of those that are good that publicly say that the conference we had was another boring general conference. And that we only heard some guys say to us, a bunch of men not to watch pornography and so on as if Pornography or many other “so on sins” of these days hidden abominations were small button or close minded societal issues; or small sins of a close minded people, such as Abortion, homosexuality, contraceptives  or even pornography, as the mother church and her daughters have blatantly said lately.  Perhaps they are mad at us because we do not preach them what they want to hear.

Let me just give you two or three obvious or self evident and undeniable examples to illustrate that LIKE MOTHER LIKE DAUGHTER.  I will show you the disputers of this world.

Pope Criticizes Church Emphasis On Abortion, Gays

Pope Criticizes Church Emphasis On Abortion, Gays

September 19, 2013 6:23 PM

VATICAN CITY (AP) — Signaling a dramatic shift in Vatican tone, Pope Francis said the Catholic Church had become obsessed by "small-minded rules" about how to be faithful and that pastors should instead emphasize compassion over condemnation when discussing divisive social issues of abortion, gays and contraception.

The pope's remarkably blunt message six months into his papacy was sure to reverberate in the U.S. and around the globe as bishops who have focused much of their preaching on such hot-button issues are asked to act more as pastors of wounded souls.

In interviews published Thursday in Jesuit journals in 16 countries, Francis said he had been "reprimanded" for not pressing church opposition to abortion in his papacy. But he said "it is not necessary to talk about these issues all the time."

"The church's pastoral ministry cannot be obsessed with the transmission of a disjointed multitude of doctrines to be imposed insistently," Francis said.

"We have to find a new balance; otherwise even the moral edifice of the church is likely to fall like a house of cards, losing the freshness and fragrance of the Gospel," the pope said in the 12,000-word article, based on interviews conducted by a fellow Jesuit, the Rev. Antonio Spadaro, editor of La Civilta Cattolica, a Rome journal for the religious order.

"The church sometimes has locked itself up in small things, in small-minded rules," Francis said. "The most important thing is the first proclamation: Jesus Christ has saved you. And the ministers of the church must be ministers of mercy above all."

General Conference, October 2013, Saturday Morning Review

By Bobby • October 8, 2013

“Well its that time of the year again, I think for me general conference has always seemed a bit of a boring prospect. Nothing really doctrinal taught anymore, a load of guys being repeatedly told not to look at pornography and so on.”

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

(Old Testament | Isaiah 66:4)
THIS know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(New Testament | 2 Timothy 3:1 - 5)

"Doubt your doubts before you doubt your beliefs."

A Top Mormon Leader Acknowledges the Church ‘Made Mistakes’

By LAURIE GOODSTEIN
Published: October 5, 2013

"One of the top leaders in the Mormon Church acknowledged in an address to the church’s global membership on Saturday that past leaders had “made mistakes” that had caused some Mormons to have doubts, an admission that amounts to a significant change in tone in the leadership’s approach to Mormons who question, dissent or defect from the church."

They proclaim their findings as if it were a victory or a milestone for the enemies of GOD and his church to point out or errors and omissions of the church as they claim. They are speedily prone to point out a controversial doctrine here and there to make the world aware that we are in error and that therefore we cannot be the only true church of GOD so they can take advantage of the unsuspecting and unprepared,  souls that are searching for the truth.

What they forsake to see, is that since restoration, this church, the only true and living church acceptable before GOD, speaking to the collective church and not individually, for GOD cannot condo0ne or considered sin with the least degree of allowance.  Which it is the same church organized by Jesus Christ in the days of the apostles has come out of obscurity and out of the wilderness and that is going thru a great clean up and it is, has and will continue to be going to a process of refining and perfection until it is presented unto the father clean, spotless and without a wrinkle. OR Bright as the SUN, fair as the moon and glorious like an army with banners.  It was the gentiles that left it dirty and let the church fall into apostasy.  So, if they expected perfection at this stage in the church of Jesus Christ, they will be surely disappointed.  They have to have some faith first to see how perfect is is. And where is doubt, the spirit of GOD is not.

Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

(New Testament | Matthew 21:21)

And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

(New Testament | Luke 12:29)

For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
(New Testament | 1 Corinthians 9:10)

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

(New Testament | 1 John 2:19)

that there was a just God, and whosoever did not doubt, that they should be preserved by his marvelous power.

(Book of Mormon | Alma 57:26)

Well said the prophet, doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith because these insufferable bastards that shun our faith and works, for faithless grace according to their carnal reasoning and vain belief, think that Doubt is a sign of humility instead of a sign of hardness of heart and unbelief.

And if there are errors and omissions, we cannot tell, but let it be known that those of the antiquity also erred.  NOT that I justify ourselves by the mistakes of men, but to a great many of us everything in the church organization and doctrines looks perfect, praiseworthy and of good report.

We don't ask any people to throw away any good they have got; we only ask them to come and get more. What if all the world should embrace this gospel? They would then see eye to eye, and the blessings of God would be poured out upon the people, which is the desire of my whole soul.
History of the Church, 5:259.
No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.
History of the Church, 4:540.
The reflection that everyone is to receive according to his own diligence and perseverance while in the vineyard, ought to inspire everyone who is called to be a minister of these glad tidings, to so improve his talent . . . that when the Master sits down to take an account of the conduct of His servants, it may be said, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things; I will now make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.
History of the Church, 2:6.

A man filled with the love of God, is not content with blessing his family alone, but ranges through the whole world, anxious to bless the whole human race. This has been your [the Twelve in England] feeling, and caused you to forego the pleasures of home, that you might be a blessing to others, who are candidates for [eternal life], but strangers to truth; and for so doing, I pray that heaven's choicest blessings may rest upon you.
History of the Church, 4:227.

After all that has been said, the greatest and most important duty is to preach the Gospel.
History of the Church, 2:478.

Do not be discouraged on account of the greatness of the work; only be humble and faithful. . . . He who scattered Israel has promised to gather them; therefore inasmuch as you are to be instrumental in this great work, He will endow you with power, wisdom, might, and intelligence, and every qualification necessary.
History of the Church, 4:128–29.
I ask God in the name of Jesus, to . . . cause that His word may speedily go forth to the nations of the earth, to the accomplishing of His great work in bringing about the restoration of the House of Israel.
History of the Church, 1:451.
This last paragraph is being fulfilled as we speak, for the LORD is hastening the work.

And those that condemn the work of God or judge man for a word or because our weaknesses and imperfections; and repent not and amend their ways,  and remain offended anc contend against the truth only because they have no faith and like the adulterous and perverse generation desire for us to show them signs and wonders so they can see with their lustful eyes, these are those who will be cast into hell to suffer the wrath of GOD. Hence the LORD has said:

But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment. For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.

(Old Testament | Isaiah 28:7 - 8)

Nevertheless, I do not write anything upon plates save it be that I think it be sacred.  And now, if I do err, even did they err of old; not that I would excuse myself because of other men, but because of the weakness which is in me, according to the flesh, I would excuse myself.
(Book of Mormon | 1 Nephi 19:6)

And if there be faults they be the faults of a man.  But behold, we know no fault; nevertheless God knoweth all things; therefore, he that condemneth, let him be aware lest he shall be in danger of hell fire. And he that saith: Show unto me, or ye shall be smitten—let him beware lest he commandeth that which is forbidden of the Lord. For behold, the same that judgeth rashly shall be judged rashly again; for according to his works shall his wages be; therefore, he that smiteth shall be smitten again, of the Lord. Behold what the scripture says—man shall not smite, neither shall he judge; for judgment is mine, saith the Lord, and vengeance is mine also, and I will repay.

And he that shall breathe out wrath and strifes against the work of the Lord, and against the covenant people of the Lord who are the house of Israel, and shall say: We will destroy the work of the Lord, and the Lord will not remember his covenant which he hath made unto the house of Israel—the same is in danger to be hewn down and cast into the fire; For the eternal purposes of the Lord shall roll on, until all his promises shall be fulfilled.

(Book of Mormon | Mormon 8:17 - 22)

O then ye unbelieving, turn ye unto the Lord; cry mightily unto the Father in the name of Jesus, that perhaps ye may be found spotless, pure, fair, and white, having been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, at that great and last day.

(Book of Mormon | Mormon 9:6)

These are they who are cast down to hell and suffer the wrath of Almighty God, until the fulness of times, when Christ shall have subdued all enemies under his feet, and shall have perfected his work; When he shall deliver up the kingdom, and present it unto the Father, spotless, saying:

I have overcome and have trodden the wine–press alone, even the wine–press of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 76:106 - 107)

Don’t the unbeliever and the unrepentant know that after our testimony comes wrath and indignation upon the people? And that the only sings and wonders of GOD upon the earth that they will behold will be wrath and indignations or desolations upon Babylon, even the whore of all the earth? Hear the word of the LORD you scornful men.  For thus saith the LORD:

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.

(New Testament | Romans 2:8 - 11)

And after your testimony cometh wrath and indignation upon the people.

For after your testimony cometh the testimony of earthquakes, that shall cause groanings in the midst of her, and men shall fall upon the ground and shall not be able to stand. And also cometh the testimony of the voice of thunderings, and the voice of lightnings, and the voice of tempests, and the voice of the waves of the sea heaving themselves beyond their bounds. And all things shall be in commotion; and surely, men's hearts shall fail them; for fear shall come upon all people.

And angels shall fly through the midst of heaven, crying with a loud voice, sounding the trump of God, saying: Prepare ye, prepare ye, O inhabitants of the earth; for the judgment of our God is come.  Behold, and lo, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. And immediately there shall appear a great sign in heaven, and all people shall see it together.

And another angel shall sound his trump, saying: That great church, the mother of abominations, that made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, that persecuteth the saints of God, that shed their blood—she who sitteth upon many waters, and upon the islands of the sea—behold, she is the tares of the earth; she is bound in bundles; her bands are made strong, no man can loose them; therefore, she is ready to be burned.  And he shall sound his trump both long and loud, and all nations shall hear it.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 88:88 - 94)

Wherefore, I the Lord, knowing the calamity which should come upon the inhabitants of the earth, called upon my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., and spake unto him from heaven, and gave him commandments; And also gave commandments to others, that they should proclaim these things unto the world; and all this that it might be fulfilled, which was written by the prophets— The weak things of the world shall come forth and break down the mighty and strong ones, that man should not counsel his fellow man, neither trust in the arm of flesh— But that every man might speak in the name of God the Lord, even the Savior of the world; That faith also might increase in the earth; That mine everlasting covenant might be established; That the fulness of my gospel might be proclaimed by the weak and the simple unto the ends of the world, and before kings and rulers.

Behold, I am God and have spoken it; these commandments are of me, and were given unto my servants in their weakness, after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding.

And inasmuch as they erred it might be made known;

And inasmuch as they sought wisdom they might be instructed;

And inasmuch as they sinned they might be chastened, that they might repent;

And inasmuch as they were humble they might be made strong, and blessed from on high, and receive knowledge from time to time.

And after having received the record of the Nephites, yea, even my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., might have power to translate through the mercy of God, by the power of God, the Book of Mormon.

And also those to whom these commandments were given, might have power to lay the foundation of this church, and to bring it forth out of obscurity and out of darkness, the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased, speaking unto the church collectively and not individually—

For I the Lord cannot look upon sin with the least degree of allowance; Nevertheless, he that repents and does the commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven; And he that repents not, from him shall be taken even the light which he has received; for my Spirit shall not always strive with man, saith the Lord of Hosts.

And again, verily I say unto you, O inhabitants of the earth: I the Lord am willing to make these things known unto all flesh; For I am no respecter of persons, and will that all men shall know that the day speedily cometh; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand, when peace shall be taken from the earth, and the devil shall have power over his own dominion. And also the Lord shall have power over his saints, and shall reign in their midst, and shall come down in judgment upon Idumea, or the world.

Search these commandments, for they are true and faithful, and the prophecies and promises which are in them shall all be fulfilled.

What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.

For behold, and lo, the Lord is God, and the Spirit beareth record, and the record is true, and the truth abideth forever and ever.  Amen.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 1:17 - 39)

For I am God, and mine arm is not shortened; and I will show miracles, signs, and wonders, unto all those who believe on my name. And whoso shall ask it in my name in faith, they shall cast out devils; they shall heal the sick; they shall cause the blind to receive their sight, and the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak, and the lame to walk. And the time speedily cometh that great things are to be shown forth unto the children of men;

But without faith shall not anything be shown forth except desolations upon Babylon, the same which has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

And there are none that doeth good except those who are ready to receive the fulness of my gospel, which I have sent forth unto this generation.

Wherefore, I call upon the weak things of the world, those who are unlearned and despised, to thrash the nations by the power of my Spirit; And their arm shall be my arm, and I will be their shield and their buckler; and I will gird up their loins, and they shall fight manfully for me; and their enemies shall be under their feet; and I will let fall the sword in their behalf, and by the fire of mine indignation will I preserve them.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 35:8 - 14)

For if I, who am a man, do lift up my voice and call upon you to repent, and ye hate me, what will ye say when the day cometh when the thunders shall utter their voices from the ends of the earth, speaking to the ears of all that live, saying—Repent, and prepare for the great day of the Lord? Yea, and again, when the lightnings shall streak forth from the east unto the west, and shall utter forth their voices unto all that live, and make the ears of all tingle that hear, saying these words—Repent ye, for the great day of the Lord is come?

And again, the Lord shall utter his voice out of heaven, saying: Hearken, O ye nations of the earth, and hear the words of that God who made you. O, ye nations of the earth, how often would I have gathered you together as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, but ye would not!

How oft have I called upon you by the mouth of my servants, and by the ministering of angels, and by mine own voice, and by the voice of thunderings, and by the voice of lightnings, and by the voice of tempests, and by the voice of earthquakes, and great hailstorms, and by the voice of famines and pestilences of every kind, and by the great sound of a trump, and by the voice of judgment, and by the voice of mercy all the day long, and by the voice of glory and honor and the riches of eternal life, and would have saved you with an everlasting salvation, but ye would not!

Behold, the day has come, when the cup of the wrath of mine indignation is full.

Behold, verily I say unto you, that these are the words of the Lord your God.

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 43:21 - 27)

Therefore, you scornful men that rule this people with is in this great gentile nation, and all the nations of the gentiles even to the ends of the earth.  Hearken to my voice, give heed to my speech, the LORD has called me, from the womb of my mother he made mention of my name and sanctified me. I may be no more than an obscure and unlearned elder of this church, but I speak with the very authority of GOD, the father of old.  He said my servant are thou, oh Israel.  And it is my GOD who does instruct me to discretion.  Mock me not, nor be ye scornful, for I have heard and seen a great consummation decreed upon the whole earth.  You that kindle a fire and walk in the sparks of your hands; walk in the light of your own fire and in the sparks that you have kindled, for this ye shall have at my hand, you shall lie down in sorrow.

Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report. For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it. For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech. Doth the plowman plow all day to sow?  doth he open and break the clods of his ground? When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?

For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.

For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod. Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.

This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.

(Old Testament | Isaiah 28:14 - 29)

Behold all ye that kindle fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks, walk in the light of your fire and in the sparks which ye have kindled.  This shall ye have of mine hand—ye shall lie down in sorrow.

(Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 7:11)

Of these thins I testify and declare, humbly and meekly yet firmly as one sent down from on high, who is mighty and powerful and who bears witness of the divinity of the savior of the world.  This is one hose voice is unto all men and whose goings are to the ends of the earth; with a voice of trump as loud as one who cries repentance in the wilderness. And I do these things, with a single eye for the honor and glory of GOD; and I do it as one having the divine authority of our father in heaven in the sacred name of his beloved son, our advocate with the Farther and in whom we trust, even the God of heaven and earth and all the things that are therein; and in whom the Father is well pleasured, even in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Attentively Yours, from an unworthy and insignificant servant in the hands of the living Christ

  1. I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD. I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.

    I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests; And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham;
And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him.

Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests. And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit. And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.

Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off. And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.

Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.

The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.

Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

  2. It is fully proved in all the revelations that God has ever given to mankind that they naturally
    love and admire
righteousness, justice and truth more than they do evil. It is, however, universally received by
professors of religion as a Scriptural doctrine that man is naturally opposed to God. This is not
so. Paul says, in his Epistle to the Corinthians, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of
God," but I say it is the unnatural "man that receiveth not the things of God." Paul, in another
place, says, "if our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world
hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ,
who is the image of God, should shine unto them." That which was, is, and will
continue to endure is more natural than that which will pass away and be no more. The natural man
is of God. We are the natural parents, and spiritually we are the natural children of the Father of
light and natural heirs to his kingdom; and when we do an evil, we do it in opposition to the
promptings of the Spirit of Truth that is within us. Man, the noblest work of God, was in his
creation designed for an endless duration, for which the love of all good was incorporated in his
nature. It was never designed that he should naturally do and love
    evil.

    JD 9:305, Brigham Young, June 15, 1862

it is not natural for men to be evil. All men
admire that which is good; all men admire virtue and truth, whether they possess them themselves or not, they
still admire that which is good in others. You may go to the most wicked man that exists and talk to him upon
this subject, and he will say at once, "I am not an example, but such a man is and there are certain principles
that I admire, and if I could see them carried out I should be glad." Who does not admire the truth? And if
men carry out good principles in their lives, all others admire both them and the principles. Who is there that
does not admire virtue, no matter how lascivious they may be themselves? However dishonest the man may
be himself, there is a feeling of admiration of honesty in others. This feeling prevails among the children of
men. The only thing with them, and that which puzzles is, how shall the world be redeemed? How shall
mankind be purified and correct principles be introduced among the human family? Men know that their
hearts are evil, and they are ever ready to charge this upon others. The question now is, how shall good and

    1 Cor 2: 14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

    Ephesians 4:
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Romans 3: 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

  3. For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.

  4. It is your word against the word of GOD and the testimony of the apostles and prophets. The natural man is corrupt, for it is in a continuous state of rebellion towards all things that are good or are spiritually discerned. Its natural turns bad continually becoming carnal, sensual and devilish. You are corrupting or tergiversating the scriptures to your own hurt, they do not say what you erroneously think they say. They are plain and easy to understand. Can’t you see?

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

    (Old Testament | Genesis 6:5)

And then shall the wicked be cast out, and they shall have cause to howl, and weep, and wail, and gnash their teeth; and this because they would not hearken unto the voice of the Lord; therefore the Lord redeemeth them not. For they are carnal and devilish, and the devil has power over them; yea, even that old serpent that did beguile our first parents, which was the cause of their fall; which was the cause of all mankind becoming carnal, sensual, devilish, knowing evil from good, subjecting themselves to the devil.

    (Book of Mormon | Mosiah 16:2 - 3)

Wherefore, it must needs be an infinite atonement—save it should be an infinite atonement this corruption could not put on incorruption. Wherefore, the first judgment which came upon man must needs have remained to an endless duration. And if so, this flesh must have laid down to rot and to crumble to its mother earth, to rise no more.

    (Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 9:7)

O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy church of God? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of an endless happiness than that misery which never dies—because of the praise of the world? Why do ye adorn yourselves with that which hath no life, and yet suffer the hungry, and the needy, and the naked, and the sick and the afflicted to pass by you, and notice them not? Yea, why do ye build up your secret abominations to get gain, and cause that widows should mourn before the Lord, and also orphans to mourn before the Lord, and also the blood of their fathers and their husbands to cry unto the Lord from the ground, for vengeance upon your heads? Behold, the sword of vengeance hangeth over you; and the time soon cometh that he avengeth the blood of the saints upon you, for he will not suffer their cries any longer.

    (Book of Mormon | Mormon 8:38 - 41)

O Lord, thou hast said that we must be encompassed about by the floods. Now behold, O Lord, and do not be angry with thy servant because of his weakness before thee; for we know that thou art holy and dwellest in the heavens, and that we are unworthy before thee; because of the fall our natures have become evil continually; nevertheless, O Lord, thou hast given us a commandment that we must call upon thee, that from thee we may receive according to our desires.
